BuzzScore ("we," "our," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the BuzzScore iOS application.
Third-Party AI Services
BuzzScore uses Anthropic's Claude AI (claude.ai) to analyze the photos you submit for scoring. When you scan a photo, the following happens:
WHAT WE SEND:
- The photo image you captured (selfie or group photo)
- A request asking Claude to score and roast the photo
WHO RECEIVES IT:
- Anthropic, PBC — the company that operates Claude AI

WHAT ANTHROPIC DOES WITH IT:
- Anthropic processes the image solely to generate the score and roast text
- Per Anthropic's commercial API terms, they do NOT store the image after the request completes
- Per Anthropic's commercial API terms, they do NOT use the image to train their AI models
- Per Anthropic's commercial API terms, they do NOT share the image with any other third party
USER PERMISSION:
- Before your first scan, BuzzScore shows an in-app consent screen disclosing the above
- You must tap 'Accept & Continue' to proceed
- Tapping 'Cancel' will prevent any data from being sent to Anthropic
- You can revoke consent at any time by deleting your account in Settings
Data Collection
- Email address — for account creation, stored in Supabase
- Apple ID or Google ID — for sign-in, stored in Supabase
- Photos you submit for scoring — sent to Anthropic, stored in Supabase storage tied to your account
- Scan history — stored in Supabase, deleted when you delete your account
Information We Collect
- Account information: authentication identifiers such as email or provider user IDs.
- Photos you provide: images submitted for AI analysis.
- Scan results: generated scores, roast text, and related metadata saved to your account.
- Subscription and purchase data: entitlement and billing status from subscription providers.
- Basic technical data: device/app diagnostics needed for reliability and fraud prevention.
How We Use Information
- To provide AI analysis and generate BuzzScore results.
- To store, sync, and display your scan history in your account.
- To manage subscriptions and restore purchase entitlements.
- To improve app performance, monitor abuse, and support users.
Data Storage
Photos are processed for AI analysis and related scan results are stored in your account so you can access history. You may delete scans in-app where available. We retain data only as needed to operate the service and comply with law.
Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted providers to operate core functionality:
- Supabase for authentication and backend data storage.
- Anthropic Claude API for AI text/image analysis features.
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management.
These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy practices. We share only data needed to perform requested services.
Children's Privacy
BuzzScore is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.
Data Deletion Rights
You may request deletion of your account data and stored scan results by contacting support. We will process verified requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal retention requirements.
